[edit]Wondering how to edit this U.S. Borough Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
Two subjects (and/or spinoff articles)
[edit]A few subjects I'm faintly interested in, but I don't possess the resources at the moment to research and write about:
- History of the borough government itself.
- I believe someone on another talk page requested the creation of an Eben Hopson page a while back.
- Also perhaps deserving of a separate article would be the mayorship of Eugene Brower, maybe specifically WRT his involvement with Lew Dischner and Carl Mathisen. Political corruption wasn't just confined to Juneau a few years ago, ya know.
- Geography of the North Slope (yeah, I know, you're gonna respond with "IT'S FLAT!" or something like that).
Is there anything written yet on the differences in language dialects amongst North Slope Inupiat? I'm not that familiar beyond the differences between the Nunamiut and the Taremiut.
Oh yeah, one more thing. I have in front of me Robert Harcharek's profile from the Local Boundary Commission, and it mentions the "Inupiat University of the Arctic." I've seen reference to this elsewhere, too, but I have no idea exactly what it is or was. 199.165.96.226 (talk) 23:18, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Demographics
[edit]As of the census of 2010, there were 7,385 people, 2,109 households, and 1,524 families residing in the borough. The population density was 12.03 square miles (31.2 km2) per person.
Where are these figures derived from? The 2010 census actually shows a total population of 9,430. Skinsmoke (talk) 07:52, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Identical with Alaska North Slope?
[edit]To what extent is North Slope Borough, Alaska, identical with the Alaska North Slope? The lead sentence of this article suggests they are *not* the same. But how exactly do they differ? I raise this in part because I wonder if there is a need for a super Category:Alaska North Slope. Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:31, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
